Mantra

My son is not necessarily destined to become a serial killer.
My son is not necessarily destined to become a serial killer.
My son is not necessarily destined to become a serial killer.
My son is not necessarily destined to become a serial killer.
My son is not necessarily destined to become a serial killer.
My son is not necessarily destined to become a serial killer.

Oh, God. I'm not convinced.

When I picked him up yesterday afternoon, I was taken aside and informed that he had pulled a tape recorder off a shelf and hit a little girl in the head with it. This under the vigilant supervision of a teacher. I'm informed she was standing right there with them, but he was just too quick. There was no reason for it, just random violence on his part.
I was also informed that when they try to remove him from situations such as that one, he struggles with his teachers and hits and kicks, and it's all they can do to contain him.
And then last night, for the first time since he was a teething baby, he bit me. On the leg.
I've pretty much been in tears for most of this week.
